Description

The Event Sales Coordinator provides business development through targeted market outreach for specific venues, as well as develops and maintains community and client relations. Performs special projects as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assume the role of lead event salesperson for all iSmash locations in Central/Western New York (currently Rochester and Syracuse)
  • Assist with the creation of private event sales kits and collateral to drive revenue and promotions
  • Perform general sales outreach, including but not limited to correspondence, thank you notes, emails, etc.
  • Establish relationships with and regularly attend meetings and events at local chambers of commerce and other business networking groups
  • Perform consistent phone, text, and email follow-up with prospects and clients
  • Monitor and filter inbound sales leads, input and update contacts, and otherwise manage sales pipeline using CRM system
  • Prepare and send out sales packages, collateral, updates, etc.
  • Provide accounting support, including but not limited to updating invoices, deposits, and final payments
  • Weekly distribution of event status reports, staffing requests, and all necessary information for operations
  • Develop working relationships with all clients, operations staff, and vendors as necessary
  • Plan and assist in executing all booked events with the ability to manage clients’ expectations
  • Maintain department files
  • Compete special projects as assigned

  • Utilize software programs and any departmental-specific systems used
  • Keep work area clean and organized
  • Ensure confidential documents are kept secured
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the owner, GM, or corporate office
  • Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must be personable, organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills a must (Outlook, Excel, Word, web-based applications)
  • Emphasis in math skills for accounting assistance
  • Flexible with respect to the demands and hours needed in this role and be willing and able to work evenings and weekends
  • Must exhibit the ability to plan, prioritize and demonstrate exceptional follow-up skills
  • Must be courteous, persuasive, client focused, professional and positive at all times
  • Must be able to provide documentation that shows you are authorized to work in the United States
  • Must have the ability to speak, read, write, and interpret business documents in the English language

Compensation:

Competitive base plus commission, bonus, expense reimbursement
